What is website hosting?

Once your website has been created, it needs to be 'hosted' so that it is always available, and people anywhere in the world can view it via their web browser.

For most small businesses, the most cost effective way to do this is via 'shared hosting'. This means that you 'rent' a secure space for your website on an internet server.

Domain Registrations

The domain is the unique name given to your website - such as www.mycomany.co.uk. We can advise on domain names and check which ones are available - please contact us for details.

Prices vary but typically a .co.uk domain costs around £10 for 2 years - a small price to pay to reserve a domain that reflects your business name. If you are not yet ready to have a website designed, why not consider our starter pack which registers your domain and gives you a single page website to give you a basic web presence.

We host websites for existing clients, and others who already have a website and wish to move hosting provider. Please contact us for a quotation to host your website - prices vary based on type, size, database requirement etc.

Our packages include:

• Website statistics. We can provide you with every imaginable detail about the visitors to your website - how they found you, their location, search keywords, pages visited and more. The details can be emailed to you, or you can have your own logon to view them anytime.
